RESERVATION INSTRUCTIONS
  • To schedule a new reservation: 
    • Click the link (above) for the instrument of interest —> the browser should go to the calendar web site.
    • Click "Add Event" button —> the browser should go to the “Add New Event” page
    • In the “Event Title” field under “Basic Options”, enter:

    'INSTRUMENT-NAME' - 'YOUR-NAME'

    • In the “Date” field under “Basic Options”, enter the Month and Day for the reservation.
    • In the “Start Time” and “End Time” fields under “Basic Options”, enter the starting and ending times (24 hr clock - hours and half-hours only, please). Precise times are necessary due to heavy demand and basic, common courtesy. The instruments are assumed to be available 24/7.
    • Click the "Add New Event" button —> the browser should go to the updated calendar.
    • To schedule a reservation overnight, two reservations must be made: 
    • MONTH, FIRST-DAY, XX:XX to 00:00
      MONTH, SECOND-DAY, 00:00 to XX:XX

Note: Please do not use any of the other options/fields in the calendar – only the information listed above needs to be entered.

  • To modify an existing reservation: 
    • Click the reservation to be modified —> the browser should go to the “Modify Event” page.
    • Make the necessary changes and click the “Submit” button —> the browser should go to the updated calendar.
  • To delete an existing reservation: 
    • Click the reservation to be deleted —> the browser should go to the “Modify Event” page.
    • Change the drop-down menu at the top of the page from “Change This Event” to “Delete This Event”.
    • Click the “Submit” button —> the browser should go to the updated calendar.

RESERVATION GUIDELINES
If you significantly modify or delete a reservation less than 24 hours before the scheduled time, please send an e-mail to the group - x-ray@ucdavis.edu).
IF YOU ARE MORE THAN ONE HOUR LATE FOR YOUR RESERVATION, YOUR TIME SLOT WILL BE FORFEITED TO THE FIRST PERSON WHO WANTS TO USE THE INSTRUMENT.
Those who repeatedly miss their reservations will be advised to consult John Neil before making any additional reservations.
